Access the Catawba Student Portal
Upon payment of the enrollment deposit, students will receive an email notification with instructions on accessing their official Catawba student portal. Through this portal, they can finalize their financial aid, settle their tuition bill, and view their class schedule.

A student’s Financial Aid Portal is updated in real time as the financial aid office satisfies financial aid requirements that have been turned in. If a student has a question about what financial aid requirements are still needed, all unsatisfied requirements can be seen on a student’s Financial Aid Portal Home tab.

Accept Your Awards
Financial aid requirements will include items such as accepting terms and conditions of a student’s financial aid, accepting or declining financial aid self-help awards, completing on-line residency determinations and loan processes, and turning in physical copies of documents needed by the financial aid office. Some documents which could be requested may be from the IRS, personal tax files, etc.
Don’t Miss Anything
The financial aid office will also send out emails to students with missing financial aid requirements every other Friday beginning in late March. These emails will be sent to the students’ personal and Catawba College email addresses and will include important information about financial aid requirement deadlines. Students must check their emails weekly to ensure they do not miss any important communication from the financial aid office.
Special Circumstances Appeals
If you have had a change in your current household finances compared to the reported finances on the FAFSA, you can submit an appeal for review for certain situations. The Special Circumstance Appeal Form will be available beginning in March at catawba.edu/ finaid. This form will list the circumstances that we can consider for an appeal.
